7:34 Aptitude Test 

     The first major computing event in Divergent is when the 18-year-olds in the community take their aptitude test. Each individual is injected with a serum and sensors are placed on their head. The test simulates a situation in their mind and the computer is able to interpret and analyze their responses. A faction is chosen based on their decisions and actions in the simulation.

40:00 Automatic Tattoo Machine

      Once Tris is in Dauntless headquarters, she and other members decide to get tattoos like many of the other Dauntless members. The tattoos are applied using a machine that takes the tattoo design and is put into the skin using on flat applicator instead of the needled tattoo gun that is generally used. 

 

56:38 NeuroStim Dart

      In a competition to capture the flag held for Dauntless training,  each player is given a weapon armed with NeuroStim darts. When hit with these darts, characters feel the pain of a gunshot wound but the pain only lasts for a couple of minutes. 

 

1:10:05 Fear Simulator

     While training at Dauntless, new members are required to undergo a test to see how they respond to fear. To simulate their fears, they are injected with a serum and hooked up to a computer with brain monitors. Through the system, evaluators are able to see the scenarios that the subjects are experiencing and their responses. 

 

1:36:45 Control Serum Discovered

     Four shows Tris the new weapon he discovered. He explained to Tris that the weapon is a cognitive transmitter that is injected like serum and makes those injected with it more susceptible to suggestion. 

 

1:38:16 Final Fear Test

     Tris completes her final fear simulation in front of all of the evaluators. The process is the same as her other dear tests where she is injected with a serum that simulates fear. Through brain sensors and computers, the evaluators are able to watch Tris. 

 

1:42:40 Tracking Device / Transmitter injected into Dauntless

     Dauntless members are lined up and told they are being injected with a tracking device. Later, it is discovered that they were actually injected with the serum Tris and Four discussed and that Divergent individuals are immune to the effects of the serum. The serum grants Erudite leaders control over Dauntless and is able to issue commands through a transmitter. 

 

2:01:45 Erudite's Center of Control

      When Tris enters the headquarters of Erudite's leaders, there is a setup of touchscreen boards and monitors. She finds Four with wires that transmit the images his optic nerves are seeing to a screen, effectively displaying his sight. Some of the screens possess facial  recognition and identify Abnegation leaders. The Erudite's leaders use a touchscreen pad to control Four and Dauntless members. After Tris gets Four free, they are able to inject the serum into Erudites and command her to permanently shut down the system.
